The chart below gives information about the level of education of Bulgarian people who wanted to go and live in another country in 2002 2006 and 2008

The graph demonstrates different levels of education of Bulgarians who have emigration intentions in 2002, 2006 and 2008.

As can be seen from the chart, it is clear that while the percentage of people who have secondary education level saw a slight decrease in three years, a fluctuation was witnessed in those coming to the people with higher education. It is also apparent that throughout the given year, the proportion of people who graduated secondary school was the highest in every year.

In 2002, the percentage of Bulgarians who got secondary education reached a peak with 65%. This figure dropped slightly to about 61% in 2006 before falling minimally to 59%. A opposite trend was witnessed in the proportion of Bulgarians who just studied primary and lower education, which went up 18% in 2002 and rose 32% in 2008.

At the beginning of the period, the rate of people who got higher education was 17%. This figure rose marginally to about 20% before downwarding to 9% in 2008.
