The chart below gives information about the number of social networking sites people used in Canada in 2014 and 2015.
The bar chart illustrates changes in the percentages of Canadian people using social networking sites in the year 2014 and 2015.
Overall, there were general upward trends in the proportions of two sites or more, whereas the figures for those who used only one site or no sites showed a reverse pattern. It is also clear that the majority of Canadian citizens visiting one site was highest over the given period.
In 2014, people with one social networking site accounted for the highest percentage compared to the others, at 36%, followed by a significant decrease of 8% in 2015. In comparison, the proportion of users who did not use any social networking sites in 2014 was just over a fifth (22%) before falling by only 1% a year later.
At the same time, the rates of Canadians who used two sites, three sites, four sites and five sites were 23%, 12%, 5% and 2% respectively in 2014. Afterwards, all these groups saw a steady rise in the following year, ranging from 1% to 4%.
