On the one hand, there was an increasing trend in the level of British people giving money in 1990 and reached a peak in people aged 36-50, at around 40%, which is then followed by a gradual drop. The remain categories after a decline were 35%, 33% respectively.
Turning to 2010, it is easy to see that the proportion of youth from 18-25 donated money at the least with 7%. A similiar trend can be observed for the next age group and hit the highest point in the 51-65 aged-group. The percentage of people aged over 65 gave more money to charity than in 1990 by 2%(from 33% to 35%).
