The chart below gives information on the percentage of British people giving money to charity by age range for the years 1990 and 2010 Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant

The bar chart compares the proportion of money donated by British people for charity by different age group in two different years, 1990 and 2010.

It can be seen that, the people, whose age is less than 50 were spent more money in 1990 than 2010. In contrast, spending money for charity was higher in 2010 then 1990 for 50+ aged group.

In 1990, people whose age between 36 to 50 were donated highest and that was more than forty percent and that proportion decreased to 35% in 2010. The young people (18-25) were donated more than 15% of total in 1990 and that figure fell to more than 5%. 26-35 aged group were donated nearly one third of total, that figure fell to nearly one fourth of total.

Looking at the old aged groups, 51-65 aged people and older than 65 aged people donated more than one third of total in 1990, and that was 35% and 32% respectively. Both aged group donated 7% more in 2010 than 1990.
