The chart depict the crime changes in 3 different areas in Newport city in 2003-2012.
burglary peaked in 2004 by almost 4000 incidents. after 2004 the numbers dropped consistently to just above 1000. In 2009 to 2012 levelled around 1500 the events.
In 2003 to 2005 car theft was constant just below 3000. A decline happened, 700 episodes less was registered from 2005 to 2006. From 2006 to 2009 the numbers stayed the same nearby 2000. after 2009 the numbers rose until 2012 from right above 2000 to about 3000 successively.
The robberies remained almost stable around 500 circumstances from 2003 to 2012.It describes the small statistic of problems occurred in Newport city.
In conclusion burglary and car theft had the major incidents registers in the period. However, robbery was practically stable with the lower representation of problem reported during the same period between 2003-2012.
