The pie charts compare travel, film/music, books and clothes in terms of online shopping sales in New Zealand in two years 2003 and 2013.

It is clear that the percentage of online sales for film/music experienced the most dramatic change during the research period. Additionally, the proportion of online sales for travel and clothes decreased, while the figures for film/music and books increased in both years.

In 2003, the rate of online sales for travel was highest, at 36%, while the figure for clothes was significantly lower, at 24%. At the same time, 21% of online sales was for film/music, whereas books accounted for only 19% of the total online shopping sales.

In 2013, the rate of film/books sold online rose significantly to 33% and became the highest figure in the pie chart. Meanwhile, there was a slight growth to 22% in the proportion of books’ online sales, whereas clothes saw a noticeable decline to 10% in the online sales. At the same time, the figure for travel experienced a fall to 29%.
