The given bar chart depicts information on hours of leisure time cherished by both genders of various employment status in a typical week between 1998-99. It's apparent that females enjoyed comparatively a lot more leisure time than males.
The first and foremost and very obvious from the chart that 80 hours of leisure time had been spent by males and about 75 hours spent by females in the category of Unemployed and Retired population. They are the people who enjoyed the highest hours in shown status. The Second place held by the housewives by spending approximately 58 hours per week. Followed by that 40 hours had been spent by employed part-time females.
Finally, last but not least. The employed full-time males had spent nearly 48 hours and around 38 hours by females by the specific week which is half the amount of hours leisure hours spent by Unemployed and Retired genders.
On the whole, Males got time to spent leisure activity in only selective employment status whereas, Females enjoyed their leisure time regardless of any work status.
