The supplied chart outlines the proportion of leisure hours spent by men and women in a week in 1998-99. The spectacular feature of the chart is the women enjoyed more free time in total as compared to the men.
As is evident in the graph, full-time employed men had 45 hours of leisure times while the females had 7 hours less than the men. However, no data is given for the part-time employed men whereas women of the concerned department had 40 idle hours. In addition, housewives exhausted almost a bit less than the one-third interval of a week, to be precise 50 hours.
It is interesting to note that unemployed, as well as retired males, enjoyed a paramount number of spare hours that was 85% and 83% respectively. Moreover, females of the identical categories relished approximately 78 hours in a week.
To sum up, the graph illustrates that employed individuals had less leisure time to enjoy while the unemployed people had a maximal duration.
