The chart below shows changes in the number of international students in Australia in 2019 and 2020. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The given bar chart illustrates how Australia’s international students of different nations have changed in number in the years 2019 and 2020.
Overall, it can be seen that Chinese students account for the greatest portion in both years, followed by those from India and Nepal. Vietnamese, Brazilian, and Malaysian students, however, are similarly less significant in number.
Over the course of one year, the figure showing the number of exchange students from China declined from 182325 to 167568. On the other hand, those from India and Nepal, measuring at about 92000 and 46000, saw an increase of around 6000 and 4000 pupils respectively. It can be inferred that in both years, India had twice as many students coming to Australia as Nepal.
The amount of Vietnamese, Brazilian, and Malaysian students coming to Australia in both years, however, are similarly equal to each other, being less than half of Nepal’s in 2019, and with fluctuations ranging from 1000 to 2000. The country attracted more Vietnamese students and saw fewer students from the other two countries participating in the exchange programs compared to the previous year.
