The given chart illustrates the alterations of three different crime areas in Manchester city between 2003 and 2012.

Overall, car theft and robbery cases do not show significant changes from time to time, but burglary does.

As can be seen from the bar chart, the lowest number of criminal acts lies in robbery which is only 500 cases in 2003 and never reached 1000 cases over the last nine years, including the fact that its highest point approximately 900 cases occurred in 2005.
Different from robbery, criminal actions in car theft were steadily increasing from 2,400 cases in 2004 to more than 2,500 cases in 2012, showing just how serious this area of crime will be in the future. Lastly, the most significant alterations happened in burglary acts, starting from almost 3,500 cases in 2003, then reaching its peak in 2004 for around 3,700 cases and sharply plunging to 1,100 cases in 2009, then remaining stable afterward.
