The proportion of people eating at fast food establishments several times a week was around 17% in 2003, then increased by 3% after 3 years and decreased to 16% in 2013. Similarly, the figure of people having junk food once a week experienced a fluctuated trend, which started at 32% in 2003 and fell to 26% in 2013. Meanwhile, the USA saw its percentage of citizens eating fast food once or twice a month decrease by around 5% from 2003 to 2006, then rise relatively by nearly 8% after 7 years.
When it comes to other groups, just around 4% of people consumed fast food on a daily basis in 2003. The figure then decreased by 1% in 2006 and remained unchanged the next 7 years. On the other hand, nearly 13% citizens in the USA ate fast food a few times a year in 2003, then the figure increased to 15% in 2006 and remained stable after 7 years.
