From an overall perspective, it can be observed that the costs of the house fall in New York, Tokyo, and London between 1990 and 1995. This trend reversed for New York and London, and only Tokyo faced a negative change in house price over eight following years.
The chart depicts that in the first five years, from 1990 to 1995, Frankfurt and Madrid's house prices witnessed an increment compared with 1989 with 2.5% and 2% change, respectively. Meanwhile, in New York, Tokyo, and London, the house cost decreased and faced negative changes -5%, 8%, and 9%, respectively.
In the eight following years, the house prices become higher than in 1989 in all cities except Tokyo. Although the percentage change in Tokyo's house cost becomes higher than the first period, it remains negative. However, the trend of London house prices reverses and has the highest rate of change with 12%. The change percentage of house prices in theNew York and Madrid ranks second and third with 5% and 4%.
