To initiate, the most marked change had seen in 2000, where sales of CDs had reached exactly 35 billion dollars, whereas DVDs and games software were below 20 billion dollars. Moreover, in the following years 2001 and 2002, DVD/video seems to have flourished from 21 billion dollars. Similarly, games software thrived from 14 billion dollars to nearly 18 billion dollars.
