The bar chart provides the data on the number of Americans who suffer from myocardial in fraction base on age groups and sex.
It is apparent that men are prone to have heart attacks more than women in three age groups. The most significant feature is that heart attack cases for men is dramatically increasing by age. There were 123000 cases reported in the first age group and in the next age group ( 45 - 64 years old) about 300000 cases are added.
Another important point is that unlike the men, only a few cases of heart attacks are recorded for women, especially in the first age group (29-44) with roughly 3000 incidents. However, these figures tend to rise to 136000 occurences in the second age group (45-64)
Also worth noting is that both genders have high risk of heart attack in the last age group (65+). There are 440000 cases of men and 374000 cases of women.
