The bar chart compares the annual number of heart attacks among people of different ages and genders in the USA.
The most striking feature is that men that are older than 65 exceed the mark of 400 thousand cases per year, which is the highest index in the chart. Moreover, this has a slight difference with women of the same age group. However, males from 45 to 64 also experience more than 400 thousand heart attacks but there is a significant difference from females, whose number of HA count for 136K.
By contrast, the young have the least number of heart attacks than the other age groups, 123 and 3 thousand for men and women respectively. It is also noticeable that females of this age have the lowest index in the chart. Nevertheless, it is obvious that young people tend to experience considerably less heart attacks than older people.
Overall, men tend to have more heart attacks than women of the same age.
