The bar chart illustrates the difference of fitness membership between men and women during a 30-year period.
It is clear that women has the highest membership throughout the period shown. While the number of men increases gradually, and the whole trend of women shows a great fluctuation.
In 1970, the number of fitness membership of female was 2000 which was 1000 more than that of male. Compared with the number of male, the female’s membership remained in a high level during the next two decades. In the year 1985, the fitness member of men peaked at approximately 2800. However, there was a slight drop of nearly 400 in the number of women.
In 1995, the male member peaked at 2800 again, and the number of female had a dramatic rise to 5000, the highest record of the women. In the year 2000, there was a decline of 800 in the number of men, whereas the number of women had dramatic drop of 4000.
