Overall, the number of trips that children travelled to and from school in 1990 is higher than in the year 2010. Walking witnessed the largest amount of trips in 1990 before car become more popular to children in 2010.
Regarding the data of trips taken by car, in 1990, is lowest among other travelling methods, at around 4%. However, there was a significant increase in the figure for car passenger in 2010, at nearly 12%, which was recorded as the highest number of trips. The opposite trend was true for cycling, this method experienced a sharp fall from approximately 6% in 1990 to 2% in 2010.
Turning to walking, the data in 1990 doubled that in 2010, it means that the year 2010 witnessed a steady decrease in the number of trips taken. Similarly, the value for walking and bus decreased two times in the period of 10 years, from 6% to around 2%. The trips by bus saw the smallest change in the value for the year 1990 and 2010, just a 2-percent decrease.
