The chart illustrates on the numbers of injuries and incidents with the per number 100 million passenger miles who travelled(PMT) by different types of transportation in the year of 2002. A glance at the graph reveals that people were attacked with injuries and occurrence moderately by bus as well as overall the number of accidents was significantly higher than the number of injuries.
According to the given chart, In 2002 the bus and light rail transport occurred the same amount of injuries approximately 75 million passengers where in the bus the injuries amount were 60 million and 40 million were in light rail. Moreover, in the heavy railway transport, the injuries and incidents number were near about 50 million.
On the other hand, the commuter rail occurrence numbers were slightly the least commom position than the other three transport roughly 20 million commuters.
Last but not the least, the whole numbers of incident and injury in case of demand response the incidents amount were around 250 million and the number of injuries were nearly 170 million.
