The given bar chart illustrates the percentage of Australian residents with their drinking and buying habits in last 4 weeks, categorized in five different cities.
Overall, the majority of customers in these five cities preferred to have their drinks at a café while buying fresh coffee was the least popular option for residents in these areas.
A quick glance at the bar chart reveals that in Sydney and Melbourne, the percentages of fresh coffee buyers were just about 44%, which was higher than the figure for Hobart residents by around 5%. Also, the proportions of Sydney and Melbourne people who chose instant coffee in last 4 weeks shared a similar percentage (approximately 46%), followed by that in Hobart with the figure recorded at nearly 55%. Additionally, it is worth pointing out that over 60% of customers in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart chose to have their drink at a café.
Turning to the other set of data, while fresh coffee buyers in both Brisbane and Adelaide accounted for just about 35%, the figures for those who made a purchase for processed coffee in these two urban areas were significantly higher (about 50%). Moreover, there were over 55% of customers who decided to drink coffee or tea at a café in Brisbane, compared to nearly 50% of that in Adelaide.
