The chart below shows the results of a survey of people who visited four types of tourist attraction in Britain in the year 1999
The pie chart compares the proportion of visitors who came four different kinds of tourist places and to five categories of places in theme park in UK in 1999.
It is clear that both theme parks and museums and galleries were the most popular types of tourist attraction. Furthermore, blackpool pleasure beach attracted the highest proportion of visitor among a lot places of theme parks.
At 38% percentages of tourism spent their time for theme parks and 37% was figure for museums and galleries. By contrast, rate of people came to wildlife parks and zoos was the lowest. It can be seen that there was slightly higher in the proportion of visitor visited to historic houses and monuments, reached 16%.
Out of all categories of theme park places, blackpool pleasure beach account for the highest rates at nearly half of all. Chessington World of Adventure and Legoland and Windsor attracted the same the number of tourists, but the figure for both of there were the lowest, just only 10%. The similar pattern can be seen for Alton Towers and Pleasureland and Southport, the percentage of visitor each place attracted was about from 16% to 17%.
