The graph illustrates the outlay spending on three categories, including food and drink, entertainment, restaurants and hotels by some range of age groups in the UK.
Overall, it is apparent that the data on food and drink, and entertainment had an upward trend by age while the opposite was seen in restaurants and hotels. In addition, for the majority of age groups, food and drink expenses were the highest, followed by entertainment and restaurant and hotel expenses.
Moving to a more details analysis, those aged 76 and older witness the highest rate in food and beverage, approximately 24%. However, youngers who were under 30 years old had the lowest point, at slightly over 5%.
Another point is the level of entertainment expenditure for retirees from 61 to 76 years old reached the highest point, at around 23%, while people aged under 30 use a mere 6% of it. Besides, the age group under 30 had the highest restaurant and hotel expenditures, at 14% of the total. Meanwhile, the age group 61-75 had the lowest, at 2% of the total
