The chart below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
The bar chart and the table with corresponding numerical data depict the change in the export levels of a variety of categories from 2015 to 2016, represented in the percentage terms.
As could be noticed from the empirical data, there are five product categories that are exported by a country. The second to none in terms of export value in billions USD are petroleum products, while the second place with the insignificant gap is taken by the engineered goods. Three other product categories can be united in one group since their dollar value does not exceed USD 45 billion.
Diving deeper into details, four out of five export categories, except for the gems and jewellery that showed a decline of slightly more than 5%, increased in value in 2015 in comparison to the results of 2015. The greatest spike was demonstrated by the Textile goods the export of which sharply rose by more than 15% to approximately USD 32 billion. The second greatest change in export was demonstrated by Engineered products, rising by 8.5%. Interestingly, that this particular move allowed this category to almost reach the dollar value of petroleum products export, which in turn showed only 3% from the level of 2016.
Summarising, it is important to mention that there was no change in places taken by the aforementioned product categories.
