The chart and table describe the change in a country’s export from 2015 to 2016, as well as proportional difference between 2016 as compared with 2015.
Export earnings show development in term of total value for all product categories, while petroleum is the highest contribution to the value. Meanwhile, textile is the most remarkable in term of percentage change over 2016 as compared with 2015.
For export earnings, most of the categories were increased in value in 2016, only gems and jewelry showed a down value in this year. About $63 billion came from petroleum products, $61 billion came from engineered goods as per total export earnings in 2016, and they are the two highest industries with slightly growth. Meanwhile, textile increased from $27 billion to $32 billion, it was the lowest industries in term of value with the highest growth.
For proportional difference in 2016 as compared with 2015, textile was the most significant with 15.24%, while agricultural products was the smallest with less than 1%. For engineered products, even total value ranked at top two earnings, the percentage only stay at 8.5%, only a half of textiles percentage. Gems and jewelry was the only one category with down value, at 5.18%.
