The chart illustrates the figures of vehicle theft per thousand in Great Britain, Sweden, France and Canada during the period between 1900 and 1999. Overall, Great Britain had a far higher than the others. In addition, althogh there were a downward trend in three countries, Sweden in contrast.
To specify, first of all, in 1900, Great Britain lost about 17 cars per thousand. In the next 9 years, there were a significant fluctuation in this country, which reached the lowest point at approximately 14 automobiles out of thousand in 1999. The second highest were Sweden, at the beginning of researched period (1990), it had about 8 cars theft per thousand, 1 year later, it has a slightly decreased to 7, which met France in the same year. 5 years afterwards, this figures had dramatic increased to around 13 cars per thousand, in the same year, Great Britain also reached the peak at roughy 20. From 1996 to 1999, car theft in Sweden soared and hit the highest point at around 17.
The scenerio changed in France and Canada. In 1990, both countries had the figures at 6 and 7 cars theft per thousand, respectively. During 1 year, although this were stable in Canada, the others had a significant rocket reached 8 per thousand. Then, in the next 2 years, Canada hit a strong at 5 per thousand, whileas France witnessed a downward trend to 6. During the period between 1993 and 1999, France figures vacilliate slightly and reached around 5 cars per thousand at the end of this period. Also within this period, Canada has a unsignificant increase and still had the figure at 5 in 1999. Both Canada and France met the others in 1999 (5 automobiles out of thousand).
