The chart illustrates the percentage of male and female executive in six different types of professions across the Uk in 2007
The chart shows us the distribution of executives by gender across seven widely different career settings from Advertising to Law at UK in the year 2007.
Overall, more than half of the occupations shown the gender gap for each profession was not significant with notable exception of gender-dominated professions such as teaching, therapists and construction.
From the outset, there were more men than women holding jobs in the field of construction and scientist with 90 percent and 60 percent respectively. On the contrary, only ten percent men hold positions in teaching jobs. Journalism, is the only field where the gender gap does not exist and both male and female professionals share same number of positions.
Looking specifically at female positions, women hold more jobs in teaching and as a therapist marking 90% and approximately 80% each. However, males have the least number of positions in both these jobs. In contrast, females only held 10% of the job in male-dominated construction field.
