The bar graph illustrates the average live expectancy in five different regions around the global compared to the world average. Overall, it can be seen clearly that females had a higher average life expectancy than males in every region excepts, in Africa. Moreover, European and North American people have a greater average life expectancy than the world average, but averages of the other regions were lower.
Looking first at the male data, the world average life expectancy (68 years) was more than the average in Asia, South America and Africa by 6, 8 and 7 years respectively. On the other hand, the European people had a higher average lifespan than the world by over 10 years. Finally, the average in North America was noted at 70 years, leaving the world average behind by 6 years.
Turning to the female data, the global average life expectancy was recorded at 68 years being lower than the averages of Europe and North America by 14 and 5 years respectively. In contrast, the range of the average life expectancy of the Asian, South American and African people was between 62 to 53 years, which was below the world average around 15 to 6 years.
