The chart shows the exchange rate between the US Dollar and the British Pound

The line graph given shows the difference between the States dollar and the British pound at the rate of exchange over the period of 16 years, starting from 1973 to 1988.
Overall, the rate of exchange US dollar versus British pound witnessed a fluctuant trend and the exchange rate reached its peak of about 2.4 in 1975.
As can be seen from the chart, it is clear that in 1975, the currency conversion was the highest point and after that this number decreased to 1.5 in 1977. From 1977 to 1981, it experienced a significant increase by 0.7, while the exchange rate accounted for 2.3 and remained stable between 1980 and 1981.
During the last 8 years, the exchange rate between the US dollar and the British pound still fluctuated. It can be seen that the currency conversion hit the lowest point in 1985, made up at around 1.3. There was a substantial growth of 0.7 USD per pound from 1985 to 1988.
