The bar chart compares the frequency of eating at fast-food restaurants among people in the USA between 2003 and 2013. Overall, what stands out from the chart is that many people tended to eat once a week and once or twice a month at fast-food restaurants while the minority preferred to eat every day and never.
Looking at the details, the number of people who ate at a fast-food restaurant on a daily basis was a smaller proportion than others with just under 5% for all three years. As regards several times a week, both 2003 and 2013 were just over 15% which is 5% lower than the figure of 2006. If we look at once a week, this frequency was popular in both 2003 and 2006 with just over 30% and the figure decreased in 2013 to approximately 28%.
In 2003 and 2013 most people chose to eat once or twice a month at fast-food restaurants while a statistic for 2006 stood at a fifth. Only around 15% of people ate at fast-food restaurants a few times a year for all three years which is higher proportion than those who tended to eat never, with 15% and 5% respectively.
