The chart shows how frequently people in the USA ate fast food in restaurants between 2003 and 2013

The chart illustrates how often American people ate fast food over a period of 10 years.
Overall, it is clear that most of the people ate fast food once a week and once or twice a month over the period surveyed whereas just a small number of the population had fast food every day.
The percentage of American citizens eating fast food every day was only below 5% in all over a time period. The proportion of those who did not eat fast food was 5% in 2003 and it declined to 4.5% by 2006 and it remains the same in 2013 also. The figure of people just ate fast food a few times in a year at around 13% which slightly increased to 15% in 2006 and 2013. The people who ate fast food several times a week were around 17% in 2003 which reduced to 15.5% in a decade.
Meanwhile, the percentage of people who consumed fast food once in a week and once or twice in a month was approximately the same in 2003. However, after a decade the people who ate once a week was declined by 3% whereas the percentage increased by 3% for the people who consumed fast food once or twice a month.
