The bar chart illustrates information about the origin of films, which was screened in Australia and the UK in 2001, while the line graph compares the number of cinema attendants in these two countries between 1976 and 2006.
Overall, Australian and British theatres dominated by American movies during the period and British people went to movie theatres with the high numbers as compared to australians from 1976 to 2006.
To begin with, more than 75% movies that were released in the UK theatres in 2001 were made in the USA, while 20% were locally made. However, 10% films from Australia were screened in the UK. A similar movie screening trend could be observed in Australia in this year, where American movies were ruling over theatres with 65% ratio. Interestingly, locally produced films in Australia were ignored by the citizens.
As per line graph, in 1975 100 million people of the UK, went for watching movies that was far more than the count of Australians (around 30 million). With some fluctuations, Australian movie-goers' number reached over 80 million after three decades. O the other hand, the count of British cinema attendees dropped from 1977 to 1984, but afterwards surged with the minor fluctuations. After 30 years, almost 160 million British went to cinema halls, almost double than that of Australia.
