Overall, the number of married citizens dwindled over the span of 30 years; while, the number of devorced residents fluctuated in the meantime. The comparison between 1970 and 2000 reveals the decline in the percentage of married adults.
Looking from the first bar chart, it is apparent that the quantity of married American adults decreased and the number of devorced people raised and fell over the period. The amount of marriages declined generally from 2.5 million in 1970 to 2 million in 2000. Meanwhile, the amount of devorces raised from 1 million in 1970 to almost 1.5 million in fell to 1 million in the year of 2000.
Turning to the second bar diagram, it is evident that the percentage of married and widowed adults decreased and the percentage of never married and devorced grown ups increased in the year of 2000 compared to the year of 1970. Specifically, the percentage of married people dropped more than 10%; whereas, the precentage of devorced Americans increased approximate 5%.
