The pie charts demonstrate the proportion of different ages of population in Yemen and Italy, in 2000 and the prediction after five decades. Overall, there is considerable increase in the group aged 15-59 years in Yemen, while a dramatic decrease in the citizens aged 15-59 years can be observed in Italy.
Starting from Yemen, the figure for middle age is expected to reach 57.3% from 46.3%; on the contrary, group of 14 years old will drop by around 13% from 50.1%. However, the 60+ age group is going to remain less than one tenth of the population after fifty years.
Moving to Italy, the forecast shows that people of 15-59 years old is predicted to plummet from 61.6% to 46.2%. The proportion of 60+ years old will jump to about half the population from 24.1%. As a result, 15-59 years will account for the highest proportion, followed by 60+ years. It is also interesting to note that the percentage of group aged 0-14 will modestly decline by nearly 3%, keeping the minority by 2050.
