The charts compare the average proportions of sodium, saturated fats and added sugars in breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in the USA, which may cause some health problems if have too much.
It is clear that dinner contains the most sodium and saturated fat. By contrast, snacks contain the most added sugar. Lunch contains the lowest percentages in typical meals.
Looking at the information in more detail, we can see that people eat 43% of sodium is dinner while they only consumed 37% saturated fat and 23% added sugar. People consumed a little bit less sodium, saturated fat and added sugar in lunch, at 29%, 26% and 19% respectively.
People ate a lot of added sugar in snacks while only 21% saturated fat and 14% sodium which is the lowest percentages in among four meals. In breakfast, people consumed less sodium (14%), saturated fat (16%) and added sugar (16%). The percentages of sodium in breakfast and snacks are at same proportion.
