The pie charts below depict the proportion of three different nutrients in Americans' typical meals, which can be harmful if consumed excessively. Overall, we can see that Sodium and Saturated fat are mostly eaten during Dinner, while Added sugar is largely ingested during Snacks.

In detail, both Sodium and Saturated fat are mainly consumed during Dinner, at 43% and 37%, respectively. Following Dinner, both Sodium and Saturated fat are mostly ingested during Lunch, at 29% and 26%, respectively. After Lunch, Sodium is consumed during Breakfast and Snacks at equal percentages (14%), while Saturated fat is ingested during Snacks with 21% proportion. Lastly, Sodium is least consumed during Breakfast, only at 16%.

Added sugar is mostly eaten during Snacks, at 42%. Following Snacks is Dinner, where Added sugar is consumed at more than a half of its percentages in Snacks, at 23%. After that, Lunch stood after Snacks, with 19% of Added Sugar. Lastly, Breakfast is at the last place, with proportion of Added Sugar of 16%.
