The charts below show the average percentages in typical meals of three types of nutrients, all of which may be unhealthy if eaten too much. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features make comparisons where relevant.
A glance at the three pie charts provided reveals a comparison of proportions of such nutrients in traditional American meals as sodium, saturated fat and added fat, which could be detrimental if over consumed.
It is evident from the information supplied that sodium and saturated fat are mostly consumed by Americans in dinner, at 43 and 37 percents respectively, while the highest percentage of added sugar is consumed as snack, at 43%. Moreover, the figure for breakfast witnesses the lowest proportion of consumption of three given nutrients.
With regard to dinner, it is the second figure after the figure for dinner, with the highest rates of sodium and saturated fat consumed in America, at 29 and 26 percents respectively. In stark contrast, however, added sugar eaten during lunch takes up only 19%, which is 10% lower than sodium and 7% lower than saturated fat, consumed in lunch time.
Also noteworthy is the fact that the figures for saturated fat and added sugar eaten during breakfast share similar percentages (16%), while the figure for sodium consumed in breakfast time shows a marginal difference, at 14%. More than that, the consumption of sodium as snack and for breakfast reveals the same percentage (14%).
