The charts below show the changes in ownership of electrical appliances and amount of time spent doing housework in households in one country between 1920 and 2019.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The line graph illustrates the percentage of electrical appliances consumed by households from 1920 to 2019, while the second line graph gives some information about the number of housework per week at the same time.
It is obvious that all of the electrical appliances have an upward trend. The electrical refrigerator consumption reached the maximum point. There was a downward trend in the number of hours of housework per week per household.
As can be seen, the percentage of washing machines has increased slightly throughout the period approximately 30% from 40% except a little dropped by 1980 about 9%. Although the percentage of vacuum cleaners was under washing machines it could reach washing machines by 1960 and after that raised until the peak in 2000 and stayed there until 2019. Since the refrigerator had the minimum point in 1920, it sharply surged and passed the vacuum cleaner by 1940 then passed the washing machine in 1950 and in 1980 could reach the maximum point and did not change until 2019.
It was completely inverse in the number of hours per week graph. There was a reduction steadily until 1960 around 30% and then during the end of the period it declined slightly.
