The first chart provides a comparision i proportion of eclectrical devices and the second one shows how much time people spent on doing chores in a country from 1920 to 2019.
Overall, the percentage of households with electrical appliances followed an upward trend whereas the amount of time spent on housework saw a reverse trend.
At the beginning of the period, Washing machine was the highest number with 40% of household use this. Meanwhile, the proportion of people used Vacuum cleaner was at a lower position (30%) and Refrigerator usage was at the lowest with almost 0%.
From 1920 onwards, Refrigerator utilization surged to 90% and then increased steadily to 100%. Vacuum cleaner also rocketed to its peak of 100% and remain unchanged till 2019. Washing machine witnessed a period of fluctuation in 1980, being trailed by an steadily growth. By contrast, the amount of hours of housework per household started at 50%, experiencing a rapid decrease to 10% over the given timeframe.
