Overall, it is clear that most of the resources had small changes in the demands. Oil has the major share in both the years and natural gas had a noticeable increase in its demand.
In 1985, oil was the major source, representing half of the production of energy, but in 2003 its share declined, and made two fifth of the total. Similarly the nuclear energy production was about a quarter in 1985, but it declined to 17% by 2003.
However, Natural gas and Coal saw a rise, of 10% and 5% respectively, in their dependency. Whereas there was no change in the demand of hydrogen, as it stands still at 4%. Although other renewable sources experienced a slight change of only 3% over a period of 18 years.
