The charts below show the distribution of the world's water and the use of water in three countries.
The given pie-charts detail the statistical information on the proportional rate of freshwater in the total distribution of global water. Also, the bar chart highlights the percentage usage of freshwater in three countries in the sectors of agriculture, domestic, and industry.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the majority of the freshwater comes from ice and glaciers. Moreover, agriculture consumes the maximum proportion of freshwater in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, while the industrial sector is more prominent in Canada.
According to the given illustration, of the total world's water, the freshwater accounts for 3% and the rest is the saltwater. Further, about 7 out of 10 parts of the freshwater come from ice and glaciers as against only 1% surface water, and the remaining one-fifth is the groundwater.
Turning to the usage, nearly four-fifths of the water in Egypt and Saudi Arabia is used for agricultural services compared to just 10% in the domestic area and just below 10% in the industrial sector. In contrast, whilst nearly 80% of the freshwater is directed to the industrial section in Canada, merely 11% and 10% is consumed by domestic and agricultural sectors respectively.
