The bar charts illustrate how concert, cinema, and theatre tickets were bought by age groups in Australia, the UK and Malaysia, and the most prevalent means of access in the first three months of 2006.
Overall, 25-44 age group was the most likely to buy tickets online. It is also clear that desktop computer dominated means of access to make purchases.
Nearly 60% of 25-44-year-old Australian obtained tickets online, the same pattern can be seen for the UK. Meanwhile, about 35% Malaysian young and middle-aged people used Internet to order tickets. For 65+ age group, Australian were the most likely to purchase tickets online (approximately 45%), followed by the UK people and Malaysian, with over 40% and about 40% respectively.
Over the first three months of 2006, desktop computer was the most common means of access to buy tickets with over 60% of using in both three nations. 45% of people in Australia and Malaysia used laptop while this percentage in the UK was 30%. Only 30% or lower of individuals in these states chose mobile phone to order tickets.
