The Pie and Line graph illustrates the total percentage of food budget to the average family spending on various restaurant over the four decades and whether fast food restaurants or dine-in restaurants.
Overall, most of the family was spending their budget and preferred to wat in home cooking compared to restaurant meals. There was a dramatic increased of fast food meals over the four decades and sit-down restaurant has increasing continuously.
First, home cooking had the biggest percentage for the last 30 years for the total of around 240% while the restaurant meal had only 30% to be exact. However, it changed in the last 10 years which was home cooking and restaurant meals accounted for same percentage of food budget for 50%.
Secondly, on the first 10 years fast food meals had the number of meals for around 25 and it was gradually increased up to 1990 for above 50 number of meals. It shows rapidly increased until 2000 nearly about 50 number of meals per year, respectively.
