The two charts illustrate the percentage of english men and women divided into seperate weight sectors from 1993 to 2002.
In general, most of England’s people were overweight, but the rate of english who were dangerously obese remained the same throughout the period of nine years with the modest proportion (approximately 1%).
Particularly, 10% and about 41% of men in England were recorded to be obesed and and be overweighted in 1993 respectively. The proportions rose substantially to 15% and around 49% in 2002 respectively, while, in contrast to those figures, the percentage of men that have healthy weight declined by nearly 10% simultaneously.
Compared with the weight disparity of the male population, that of female is quite similar with the raise in the percentage of women who obesed and those who overweighted during the nine years period. women with healthy weight also decreased to just over 30% in 2002 whereas there was about 1% of english women are considered to be dangerously obese.
It can be seen that from both charts, the proportion of the male figure is lower than that of the female.
