The charts provide the information about how much water was used for various purposes in six areas around the world. The data are shown in percentage. Overall, it can be seen that the highest amount of water used is for agricultural, while domestic is the lowest proportion of water used.
Looking first at the data, In Africa, Central Asia, South East Asia, and South America above 70% of water used goes to the agricultural, whereas North America and South America this rate is 39% and 32% respectively. On the other hand, North America and Europe is used water for industrial purposes is 48% and 53%, while the remaining areas (South America, Africa, Central and South East Asia) used water for industrial below 15%.
In terms of the remaining purposes, South America is the biggest percentage of water used for domestic with 19%. Furthermore, North America and Europe used water for domestic purposes is 13% and 15% respectively. Lastly, none of the areas used much water on domestic which is under 10% in Africa, Central Asia, and South East Asia.
