The charts below show the percentage of water used for different purposes in six areas of the world.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The six pie charts illustrate the data about how water is used in six distinct areas of the world: North and South America, Europe, Africa, Central and South East Asia.
In general, most of the water in Africa, Asia and South America is used for irrigation, whereas North America and Europe mainly consume water for industrial purposes.
The amount of water consumption for the agriculture segment is noticeable, with 88%, 84% and 81% of water consumed in Central Asia, Africa and South East Asia, respectively, in which Central Asia is the leading area with the highest percentage of water for agriculture use. In contrast, the amount of water consumption for domestic purposes in these areas only accounts for around 10%. Moreover, South America also spends a significant proportion of water on irrigation, which takes up to two-third of the total amount of water usage in the area.
On the other hand, North America and South America are recorded with half of the total amount of water served for industrial usage, while domestic consumption only makes up a minority, around 15%.
