The pie charts compare the causes of happiness for people who are under 30 and people over 30.

Overall, achieving at work is the most common reason to make people happy, no matter their age. Some reasons for people who are under 30 to be happy are similar to those over 30, but there are some differences as well.

One third the total proportion of people over 30 and people under 30 agreed that achievement at work is the most significant reason for them to be happy. Similarly, other factors and doing hobbies can make them happy as well, respectively 14% and 22% for those under 30, and 10% and 24% for those over 30.

In contrast, 14% of people over 30 think being with family makes them happy, the same proportion of people under 30 think travelling makes them happy. Moreover, 18% of the under 30 proportion think having good out looking make them happy while 20% of people over 30 are happy because of financial security.
