Overall, it is apparent that both of the year’s petroleum products earned the highest amount of money. It is also evident that income in the year 2016 outstripped all the five export products than in 2015 except for gems and jewelry.
According to the data, petroleum products earned $60 billion in 2015. After a 3% increase, it reached 61.8 billion dollars in 2016. Similarly, after a moderate rise from 2015 to 2016, engineering goods stood at approximately 61 billion dollars, which was slightly lesser than the earnings from petroleum products. Moreover, there was a minimal increase in export earnings in the case of agricultural goods (0.81%), while textiles products showed significant growth (15.24%) between the two successive years and eventually peaked at $31 billion.
By contrast, gems and jewelry demonstrated a decreasing trend from 2015 to 2016. In 2015, it earned approximately 42 billion dollars, while after a moderate fall (5.18%), it reached $40 billion in 2016.
