The charts give information about world forests in five different regions

The chart illustrates global distribution of forests and timber production in five different areas (South America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America).
Overall, it can be seen that Africa has the highest percentage of forests in the world, while the lowest figure is recorded in Asia. In addition, the amount of timber produced in North America is the biggest, whereas Africa produces the least.
Looking at the first chart for the details, Africa and North America account for 27% and 25% of the total amount of world-wide forest, in comparison with 18% and 16% those in Europe and Africa respectively. Notably, Asia makes up 14% of the world’s total forest cover.
Turning to the remaining chart, North America dominates the production of timber, producing about 30% of the world’s total, while the figures in South America and Europe are lower, at 23% and 20% respectively. Additionally, Asia manufactures about 18% of the total timber production world-wide, which is double that in Africa, at only 9%.
