The charts show average levels of participation in education and the highest education level of adults from 2000 to 2010 in Singapore

A glance at the provided bar chart shows the length of time spent in years at school by adults both female and male on average from 2000 to 2020 while the circular charts illustrate the latest education background of adults in 2000 and 2010 in Singapore.

In general, it is clearly apparent that male spent more years at school than women. In addition, there were an increase in the proportion of higher education qualification in 2010 while the other qualifications showed the opposite.

Looking in more detail from the bar chart, in two decades, adults male spent more years on average compared to female. Furthermore the figures showed an upward trend which started at 9 years in 2000 to around 12 years in 2020. Meanwhile, the length of years of female participation slightly fluctuated at 8 to 9 years.

Regarding the pie charts, in a decade, the proportion of adults who qualified with master and bachelor degree rose significantly by around four folds from 7.5 and 8.3 to 30.31 and 32.93 respectively. On the other hand, the number of high school and secondary school qualified adults reported to decrease considerably by approximately 11 to 12. Moreover, the primary school qualification extremely declined from 25.77 to only 2.1 in the end of the period given.
