The given charts depict the increase in speed-camera uses and changes in the data of cars accidents in Melbourne between 2002 and 2005.
Overall, the number of camera uses went up through years and there was a considerable surge in the latter years. The percentage of road accidents fluctuated but they have increased in total.
Commencing with the use of measuring-cameras, in the first year, there were only about 25 cameras in the city and just over 10 cameras were brought into use in the next year. However, in 2004, the number of them was doubled and increased significantly in the final year, at around 150 cameras, about 6 times compared to 2002.
Turning to the changes in car-related problems, in early 2002, there were only 3% and below 1% of accidents and deaths respectively. But in the next years, the deaths on roads were steadily the same, except for the second half of 2005, there was a small fluctuation and ended up at 1%.
