The pie charts compare the percentage of holidaymakers who stayed at four different accommodations in different years. Overall, In the initial year, the proportion of people staying at their friends' and relatives' houses during vacation made the biggest proportion. However, in the following periods, a large number of people chose hotels as their accommodation during the holiday.
In 1965, the proportion of people staying at their family or colleague's accommodations comprised 55%, followed by staying at hotel and camping sites at 16% and 15%, respectively. In this period, a relatively small number of people chose caravans as their accommodation during vacation. Although the proportion of people staying at their friends' and relatives houses made up a significant proportion, the percentage of people who rented hotel rooms was responsible for the largest proportion. In this period, 18% of visitors preferred to stay at camping sites and this figure was higher in comparison to that of 1965. Additionally, Caravans were the less favorable place to stay during holidaying.
Furthermore, in 2005, the proportion of accommodation chosen by holidaymakers comprised of 38% renting hotel rooms and 30% staying with friends or families. Staying at camping sites and Caravans made up 12% and 20%, each.
